The Greatest Movie Car Of All

Have you ever thought to yourself who would win in a race from 0 to 60mph out of all of the really famous movie cars?

It's a bit of strange question really isn't it, but I know there are some real car fanatics out there who would really love to see such a thing happen and there are so many amazing cars in movies - with many of them being the main focal point within the movie, meaning they are talked about for years after the movie is released.

Cars in movies are important.

For me, I'd have to say my favourite car from any movie would have to be the DMC Delorean from the Back To The Future movies.
Being an 80's kid this is the car we all wanted to take a spin in growing up - the film in general played a massive part of my childhood, from Marty's amazing trainers to us all wanting to trade in our skateboards to find hoverboards.

And the Delorean was (obviously!) the car to want to have and it's my favourite...plus I'd go as far to say I'd bet it would have a really strong chance of winning any race it was put in.

You never know, if the tyre tracks happened to burst into flames at it's on it's way to the finish line, well it may just disappear and end up going Back To The Future!

So yes, I would really love to be able to drive this car - I know you can pop along to certain special events to check it out up close, but I would really love it if you could actually lease one out for the day and show it off to everyone.

What a day that would be...

Now you know my favourite movie car, what would be yours and do you think it would win the "movie car race"?

Well to help you decide, Lease Car has put together a little video of some of the most famous cars from movies to actually test out how they would fair with each other in a race form 0 to 60mph

And whilst we could each probably pick out a handful of different cars they really have put together a nice little selection...

 - Will it be Herbie, the 1963 VW Beatle?

- Will it be the 1971 Mustang from the amazing movie" Gone In 60 Seconds"?

or

- Will it be the 1966 Thunderbird from "Thelma And Louise"?

There are a few other nice ones in the video too which may bring back some memories...

After watching the video I found that I was quite surprised by the end result - and especially where my own favourite placed in the race...

Let me know in the comments section the place that the car you picked came in and what other cars you would have liked to have seen in the race...

Making Money Through Online Gaming

We’re all looking for a simple and enjoyable way to make money. Generally speaking, we bring most of our cash in through a stable career that we don’t look forward to on a Monday morning. But it’s a good idea to bear in mind that there are other ways of making money out there! Whether this is generating some quick cash on the side of what we do full time or switching up our job roles to something that we enjoy a little more. If playing games online is your thing, bear in mind that you can make both quick cash and more long term earnings through doing what you love! Here’s a little more on the subject!

Making Some Quick Cash

Let’s start with a few quick ways to make money through online gaming that takes minimal effort and will see money entering your bank account before you know it!

Online Casinos

Chances are that you’ve already spent some time playing games in a casino at some point or another in your life. Thanks to the web, you can now play the very same games for real cash within the comfort of your own home. Of course, gambling isn’t a surefire way to make money - you always run the risk of losing and the odds aren’t generally in your favour. But if you enjoy a good game of roulette or blackjack and only ever use money that you can genuinely afford to lose, this can prove to be a fun way to generate a little cash should you win!

Online Betting Sites

Like gambling your money through an online casino, it’s important to remember that betting, again, isn’t a surefire way to make cash. You are always going to run a risk of a loss and there’s never any way of being absolutely sure that the game you are betting on will turn out as you hope that it will. But if you happen to place a decent amount of money on the right score or result, you could rake in a fair amount of money! If you want to make some big bucks, consider placing an accumulator bet. This is less likely to pay out, as you rely on various different things happening to win, but you tend to bring back a whole lot more cash if you do win than you would on a standard bet. Give things a try with Free Bets.

Making a Career

While there are quick means of potentially bringing in a little cash, you can make making money through online gaming a whole career. Just take a look at Esports! Esports stands for electronic sports and it is an area that takes standard gaming up to professional levels. Now, this type of competitive gaming has been around for quite a while now, but nowadays it is proving to be increasingly popular and more professionalised, allowing high-quality gamers to now make surprisingly lucrative careers out of it. If this sounds like something that might interest you, attend a few esports games as a spectator. You will be able to get a feel for what goes on and pick up some tips and tricks along the way. Then, you can focus on specialising and practising a specific game until you feel that you are up to a standard where you can challenge the best of the best in front of an audience. You can take off pretty quickly and may start getting sponsorships!

These are just a few different ways that you can make money through online gaming. Sure, it might not have been something you thought of before, but you can choose how involved you want to get! Whether that’s bringing in a little extra cash through fun bets or genuinely diving into the deep end and making a career of things!

Can You Really Make Money Playing Video Games?

Many of us see gaming as nothing more than a fun hobby, but what if it could also be a source of income? There are actually many ways to make money from playing video games. Many of these money-making methods aren’t easy, but they could still be worth looking into if you’re passionate about gaming. Here are just a few examples of ways you can make money playing video games.
Become a video games tester
Video game developers often hire testers to ensure that their games have no bugs and glitches. This can be a fairly well-paid job – in fact, the average salary is $84k. Getting into this industry is tough and you’ll generally need some form of higher education related to software design or programming. This is because, on top of playing the games, you also have to report any improvement that you think need to be made, which could involve understanding the coding behind video games. Knowledge of programming can also make it easier to look for common bugs and easy ways of breaking games.
Get paid to review video games
Another option is to land a job reviewing video games. Gaming journalists spend a lot of time playing new games in order to review them. Whilst this job does allow you to play lots of games, you also need to be a good writer so that you can write engaging reviews. The most well-paid roles are likely to be at gaming publications, although you may be able to make money simply running a gaming blog (you may be able to make money through ad revenue or by accepting sponsored reviews from indie game developers).
Start a YouTube gaming channel
YouTube gaming channels are hugely popular. These include walkthroughs, ‘Let’s play’ videos and reviews. Starting a Youtube gaming channel is easy – however making money via these channels isn’t. You’ll be competing against lots of other gaming channels and will need to gain a certain amount of views and subscribers before you can earn anything. However, if you are successful, there’s a lot of money to be made in Youtubing. In fact, the current highest earning Youtuber, Pewdiepie, has a net worth of $20 million.
Try your luck at online casino games
Online casino games can be a way to make money too. This is a way of making money that relies a lot on luck, however, there are casino gamers who have maximised there chances by taking advantage of casino freebies. These include free bets and free roulette wheel spins for new users that can be taken advantage of to possibly win money without spending anything. New online casino sites are constantly being set up as these new 2019 casinos show. This increases the earning potential of using online casino games.
Look for paid gaming tournaments

If you’re skilled enough, you may also be able to make money taking part in paid gaming tournaments. Some of these can come with cash prizes if you win or come second. Only a few gamers have the skill to earn money this way. Still, there’s no harm in trying a tournament if you think you’ve got what it takes.

Rules Of The Road

So, last month I turned 37 and I realised that I really need to be a little bit calmer when I'm driving.

But here I am, a month into this realisation I'm struggling to do anything to calm myself down behind the wheel.
I do quite a lot of driving at work and some of the things I see other drivers do just really rubs me up the wrong way, and I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it really does.

Last week, for example, I was making my way to a job travelling on the M62 and I noticed a lady deep in a text conversation right as she drove along in the middle lane.
And what made it worse was that I then noticed she has two little kids in the back of the car.

Beyond disgusting.

So, without disrupting my driving, I give her the dirtiest look I could muster to let her know exactly how I feel about what she's doing and then, as I continued further down the motorway I exited on the slip road and then stayed in the right-hand lane but I then suddenly notice this woman again, on my right with her left indicator flashing away trying to get in to my lane.
I couldn't move over has there was a car to the left of me but then all of a sudden she puts her foot down and regardless of there being no exit space left, she pulls straight across in front of me, driving directly over the chevrons and decides it's OK to leave around a foot gap between us and then continues to press on her brakes.

To be honest I all most crapped myself and slowed right down and then I stayed away from her.

But for the rest of the day I was in such a bad mood and very nearly almost phoned my boss and told him I was going home because I didn't want to be on the road any longer that day.

I mean for starters, does she even know the rules of the road and how can anyone put their kids in so much danger?!

I do see a lot of crazy stuff daily on the roads but this has to be one of the worst to date I think and it really did stress me out but it got me thinking too - and I am a bit over-thinker - is my driving OK?

Should I have slammed on just to let her in before the chevrons?  But wouldn't that have put the car behind me in danger?  Do I actually know the rules of the rood fully (because she obviously didn't but still took her children out in her car!)?  Should I be brushing up on my knowledge of the highway code a little bit?

And then I thought, if I were to take my driving test again - both the practical and the theory parts, would I pass it again?

I'm not actually sure...

I think that maybe after having a driving licence for a certain number of years there should be a refresher course people should be made to take - it makes sense to really doesn't it.

Are all drivers confident that they are up to date with all of the newly brought out rules of the road and all of the changes which have been made to the old rules?

I know I for one am not too confident that I'm fully up to date on all the changes because I passed my test around 17 years ago...

Well, luckily for people like myself that do care, the guys over at Kwik Fit have created an e-Book which explains all of these recent rule changes.

The book covers things from changes to the MOT (like the 5 new MOT categories) and changes to the highway code (things like new rules on overtaking a cyclist to new penalties for driving in a closed lane).

After my daily disastourous experiences, this e-Book is 100% per cent worth a download - some of the changes inside it are things I know I have very probobly done and shouldn't have which I could quite easily be penalised for.

Well worth a read - it could be a read that reduces road rage stress, it could be a read which prevents an accident, it could be a read that or saves a life...
